Fateh enters quarters

JEDDAH – Al-Fateh qualified for the quarterfinals of the Crown Prince Cup after defeating Al-Ittifaq 3-1 in extra time at Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium Wednesday.
Yousof Al-Salem of Ittifaq put his team in the lead seven minutes before the break. However, Rabea Al-Sofiyani of Fateh succeeded to level the score in the 58th minute to force extra time.
Faisal Al-Jam’an of Fateh scored from the spot in three minutes after the restart before his Tunisian teammate Naeem Bettayeb sealed the win in the 100th minute. However, Abdurrahman Al-Qahtani of Ittifaq failed to score from the spot two minutes later.
On Thursday, title holder Al-Hilal will host Al-Faisali at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium in the round 16 of the championship while Al-Ra’id will play Al-Nasr at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. Al-Qadisiyah hosts Al-Shabab at Prince Saud Bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium while Hajr host Al-Ahli at Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Sports Stadium.
