JEDDAH – Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli shared the first position in the first round of the Saudi Youth Premier League that kicked off Thursday.
The title holder Al-Hilal defeated its guest Hejr 3-1 at Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Stadium. Abdul-Kareem Al-Qahtani, Khalid Al-Ka’abi and Mubarak Al-Bieshi scored for Al-Hilal. The only goal for Hejr came from the spot through Mohammed Al-Enizi.
In the Eastern Province, Al-Ahli defeated Al-Ittifaq 3-1 at Abdullah Al-Dabal Stadium.
In another match, Hitteen defeated its host Arar 3-2.
At Al-Ta’ee Club Stadium in Hail, Al-Ta’ee won over its host Al-Nasr 2-1 while Al-Wehdah and Al-Ittihad shared four goals at Prince Abdul Majeed Bin Abdul Aziz Stadium.
At Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Stadium, Al-Shabab also shared two goals with its host Najran.
Ittihad-Juvenuts match on Dec. 30
Prince Sultan Bin Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, President of the General Presidency of Youth Welfare (GPYW) and President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) gave the green light for Al-Ittihad club to host the Italian team Juventus in a friendly match on the occasion of the retirement of Al-Ittihad former international striker Hemza Idrees. The match is scheduled to be played on Dec. 30.
The approval came upon a letter that Dr. Khalid Al-Marzouqi had sent to the President of GPYW.
